Short answer
ONE4ALL is a refillable, pump-action acrylic marker in line widths from about 1 to 15 mm. It was above average on every test in the largest independent comparison, with one weakness: it lifted dried paint when layered over other media. It costs more per pen than Posca; refills make that back only if you use a lot of a few colors.

How it performed
In Sarah Renae Clark’s pump-action comparison, ONE4ALL was “better than most of the valve-action markers” tested and above average on every test. The one weak spot was layering over other media: on one test it pulled up the dried paint underneath and absorbed ballpoint ink from a lower layer. In practice that means letting earlier layers cure fully and not scrubbing over them.
“They were above average on all my tests, only lacking in their ability to layer on other media.”

Which ONE4ALL size to buy
| Line width | Good for | Shop |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 2 mm | Outlines, lettering, detail | Search 2 mm |
| 4 mm | The everyday size: fills and bold lines | Search 4 mm |
| 8 mm | Large shapes, block letters | Search 8 mm |
| 15 mm | Backgrounds, murals, canvas fields | Search 15 mm |
If you are starting from zero, a 2 mm set for detail plus one or two 4 mm pens in your most-used colors covers most work. See the tip size chart to compare widths.
Is the refill system worth it?
It depends on how you paint. Refills pay off when you empty pens: murals, big canvases, signage, or a style built on a few colors. If you use thirty colors a little each, you may never empty a pen, and a cheaper non-refillable set is the better buy. Refills also let you mix your own shades in an empty marker, which Molotow encourages.
ONE4ALL vs the alternatives
- Posca: cheaper per pen, wider range including brush tips, top score in the same test, but not refillable. Full comparison: Posca vs Molotow.
- Montana Acrylic: also refillable, with even bigger tips (30 and 50 mm) and a matte finish the maker calls weatherproof when dry (maker sheet).
- Pilot Pintor: a close second to Posca in testing, at a mid price.
Using ONE4ALL well
- Shake until the ball rattles freely, then prime on scrap. Pen not flowing?
- Let layers dry fully before drawing over them, given the lifting seen in testing.
- Outdoors, finish with a clear coat suited to the surface. See how to seal acrylic marker art.
Questions people ask
Is Molotow ONE4ALL refillable?
Yes. Molotow sells ONE4ALL refill bottles and empty markers, and promotes mixing custom colors. Posca, by contrast, is not refillable.
What sizes does Molotow ONE4ALL come in?
Molotow’s shop lists ONE4ALL line widths from 1 to 2 mm up through 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 mm to a wide 15 mm, including twin-tip models.
Is Molotow ONE4ALL waterproof?
Acrylic paint is permanent once dry on porous surfaces, but that is not the same as weatherproof. For outdoor pieces, finish with a clear coat suited to the surface.
How do I start a Molotow marker?
Shake it well with the cap on until the mixing ball moves freely, then press the tip on scrap paper a few times until paint flows. Do not over-pump; it floods the tip.
